Newborn sleeping in the bed with mom?

Are cribs or binet a must? i will be a first time mom in less than 2 months and trying to figure out should i buy a binet or crib or should i let my pooh sleep with me i have gotten different answers from some people saying that they are a waste of money and that i should let my pooh sleep with me until ready to sleep on her own.i also heard that most babys won't sleep straight in the crib and i will have to buy binet .(i am kind of on a budget and don't wanna waste my money)so to the new mothers out there what do you think?
